Is NUKUU free?
Yes. Creating quotations, downloading PDFs and sharing on WhatsApp are free, with no account required.
Do I need to sign up?
No. An account is optional and only helps you save quotations and calculations for later.
What can the materials calculator estimate?
Blockwork walls, concrete floors and slabs, plastering, tiling and painting — showing every step of the working.
Can I add my business logo?
Yes. Upload your logo and it appears on the quotation preview and the PDF.
How is a unit rate built up?
On the Price page you enter material, labour, equipment, transport and other direct costs, then overhead. The system totals your cost for 1 unit of work (m², m³ or m), then you add profit either as a markup percentage or a target selling price. You see cost price, selling rate, profit, markup and margin clearly, and you can download a Unit Rate Analysis PDF.
How do I find the real price for my job?
Calculate the work quantity in Build (for example 30 m² of wall), then send it to Price. Your costs are divided per unit, and the 'whole job' box shows the full total for the entire work, so you know both the rate per unit and the price for the whole job.
How do materials get into a quotation?
In Build press 'Send to a quotation', or send to Price and press 'Use in a quotation'. Items arrive as an editable draft you can review — nothing is overwritten or changed without your confirmation.
Does my profit show to the customer?
No. Profit, overhead and internal costs stay with you. The customer sees items and selling prices only; the cost estimate is marked confidential.
How reliable are the estimates?
They are estimates, not guarantees. The system shows every step and assumption used, so you can review and adjust them before sending anything to a customer.
Can I download the calculation pages as PDFs?
Yes. The Build sheets (material requirements, cost summary and calculation sheet) and the unit rate analysis all download as PDFs with the NUKUU footer branding.
Can other people see my account data?
No. Every account sees only its own quotations, saved work and rates. Each workspace is private to its owner.
Can I switch language?
Yes. Switch English/Kiswahili any time in the header — new documents and PDFs use the language you chose.
